Richard is a former chartered civil engineer (now retired) who has worked in both the private and public sector.
He has spent the majority of his career working for Lancaster City Council and has been responsible for the design and construction of a large number of infrastructure projects throughout the district.
During the latter part of his career, he became a departmental head and member of the Council’s Management Team assuming a wide and varying range of responsibilities.
Richard is married with two daughters and lives in Bolton-le-Sands.
