Pride in Place is an ambitious programme focussed on strengthening communities and improving neighbourhoods. In Morecambe’s West End, the programme aims to work with residents, organisations and stakeholders to shape a positive future for the area. We are particularly interested in candidates who live, have lived, or work in the West End of Morecambe and understand the place and its community.
There are 2 job roles available:
Lead the Pride in Place programme in the West End of Morecambe, acting as the public face of the project, managing the team and working with residents, partners and the Neighbourhood Board to deliver the vision for the area.

Being a receptionist for our drop-in sessions is a busy role where you get to meet people from all walks of life who need our help. Being the face of the charity and the first point of contact in many cases, means you need to be a people person who is friendly, confident in problem solving and always happy to help! Anytime you are not manning the reception, you will work with the team to provide general administration to keep our service running smoothly and efficiently.
Hours for this role are Tues/Weds/Thurs 10am to 2pm in our Morecambe office on Queen Street.

We also have a vacancy for a full time Energy Adviser who provides clients with access to energy advice and support on energy related issues to try and improve their financial situation and achieve long term stability. Energy issues are very prevalent in the community at the minute, and forms a lot of the reasons clients are coming to see us. This is a partner project with local CIC Green Rose, and uses a holistic approach to help those who are the most vulnerable. Training for this role would include NEA Level 3 which is required by the funder for those taking up the role.
Hours for this role are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
