Responding to today's news about higher energy bills and inflation, our Advice Services Director Gully Trevena says:
'At Citizens Advice North Lancashire, we are already looking ahead to the Winter months and are concerned about the pressure many households could face as the cost of living continues to bite. With heating bills, food costs and inflation putting pressure on household budgets, we fear that more people could find themselves having to make impossible choices between heating their homes, putting food on the table and meeting essential bills.
We want people to seek advice early rather than waiting until they reach crisis point. The earlier people get help, the more options there may be available to support them through what could be a difficult Winter.'
